James Bernard

Hi, my name is James Bernard, Chief Executive Officer of 2BScientific, which I set up with my brother Tim.

Tim and I were founders of 2BScientific having spent the past 32 years working in both the UK and worldwide life science market. I was an integral part of the start-up and on-going management of the Serotec Group of Companies, now AbD Serotec/Biorad. I managed the end-to-end process over a 22-year history from start up to its eventual sale for £20 million.

For those years I had P & L accountability for a £22 million operation, expanding the businesses through setting up sister companies across Europe and North America. 

I have been a Director for a number of other successful life science sector businesses over the past 32 years and have also acted as Chairman to the Axicon Group of Companies from 2009 until 2013. 

I am also the Chairman and Director of Pivotal Scientific Limited, a leading international life science consultancy business.

Tim and I are very conscious of our responsibility to help the environment and consequently we have introduced support for the British honey and bumblebee. 2BScientific contributes £1 for every order received to the British Bee Keepers Association .

This goes towards their on-going research work to help turn around the continuing decline of honey and bumblebee numbers. 

We regularly offer a range of exciting product promotions. New and bulk customers are entitled to complementary samples of Oxfordshire honey.

Outside of work, I love watching and participating in sport especially 5-a-side football and cycling, which at my age is becoming more of a challenge!
